Natural born wicca Elizabeth Xavier likes her life just the way it is. She has a beautiful lake house. Power to rival just about anyone. And seven men that cater to her every desire. What she didn’t expect was to be asked to perform a binding ceremony in the local were-bear den and tie herself forever to a were-bear as a permanent guard. She didn’t like anyone telling her what to do, and giving a man a supernatural tie to her life meant he’d probably want to boss her around, too. Or tell her she couldn’t enjoy her casual relationships with the other men in her life. Guilt is a strong motivator, as is the reminder that she was abducted several months earlier, so she goes into the den with the intention of securing a guard and keeping him at arms’ length. Too bad no one told her that were-bears don’t like to be kept at arms’ length.

When Elizabeth realizes that more than just her personal protection is up for grabs from the bear she binds herself to, can she go through with it, even if it means losing everything she enjoyed about her life? Will she go back on her word and destroy the alliance between the two groups, or does happiness lay in the underground den in the arms of a were-bear? When more than just the alliance and her own personal protection is on the line, Elizabeth has to make a decision fast. The decision to take a guard has never been so important.

This novella is for mature audiences only and contains a feisty play-girl witch with a sarcastic attitude, some red-hot were-bear loving of the menage variety, jealous lovers, claws and fangs galore, and some roadside nookie hot enough to melt the tires from the truck. This book contains M/F/M interaction.

Ash and Axe reassure her that they will keep her safe at any cost, but her fears are only compounded by their earnestness. When her husbands have had enough of her keeping secrets from them, they become creative in getting her to talk.

This book contains M/F/M interaction and is intended for mature audiences only. Warning: this title contains more were-bear and witchy loving, office loving, nipple biting, wandering fingers….and enough ice to cool things down.

Mishka, the five-hundred-year-old vampire master of the city of Cleveland, prides himself on having one of the largest covens in the Midwest.  Although he has a life envied by many, the only thing he is missing is a mate.  How to begin to find the right female for himself is a mystery, and the lonely nights are starting to get to him.

Musical muse Harmony Celeste has been traveling the states for the last two years trying to find her beloved mate.  After a vision showed her with a golden-haired male with fangs, she knows for sure that he’s a vampire, but his location is a mystery.  With her band in tow, she visits every major vampire coven in the states and uses her muse power to not only feed herself but also, hopefully, to find her mate.

When Mishka and Harmony meet, sparks will fly, but they won’t be the only ones who notice.  Human enemies have never stopped watching, and they take every opportunity to try to destroy vampires and those they love in the name of humanity.  When Harmony is taken, Mishka knows it’s only a matter of time before she’s killed.

This is a Wiccan-Were-Bear story with a vampire who has been alone long enough, a muse who likes to play, and an enemy who will stop at nothing until all vampires are wiped from the face of the earth.  Expect fangs, blood, and scorching sex between a vampire and his beloved mate.

  2. Will Prince Jesuit, the Falcon, get his own story? Cause that would be really fun to read since his future was kinda talked about in the first book plus it sounded really interesting with the women with white wings compared to what I’m thinking are his darker wings. Hope your considering giving him a story =]

    1. Hi Peggy! Yes, Jes is on the short list for characters to get the next book in the series. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them!

  3. I cannot get enough of R.E. Butler’s Books! All the ones I have read (All of The Wolf’s Mate series, the Necklace books and now almost done with this series and so looking forward to a #7:) Keep up the Great Work!!!! Aloha~

  8. Ok, I am a huge fan of all your books, I have read them many times. I have just finished Jes’ story and I have to say I’m a little disappointed. 87 pages was not long enough. The story line was great as always, but seemed to be rushed. There wasn’t enough interaction with the characters as there have been in your past books and that’s what I enjoy most. Of course, I’m not disappointed enough to stop reading your books, so please bring out the next one. I’ll be rereading them all again while I eagerly await the next great book.

  9. I loved A Promise on White Wings! I know it was only 87 pages but I think with the way the story is written it leaves room for other stories to be intertwined with this story. I will be wating for the next book(s) to come out.

  10. Your books are so addicting! One I start one I can’t seem to put it down till I’m done! But since all the stories are intertwined I got the next one ready to go BEFORE I’m done reading! Please don’t stop writing about those were bears, wiccan, fairies, and wolves! LOVE IT! <3

  11. i would like to say thank you for the stories you have written. They have touched the heart of my wife and me as well as my daughter.i hope there will be more in each of your series’s you have written i have read them all and we find it is hard to wait for more.so once again Thank you i really wish you make one more of the were-tiger’s thou lol

    1. Heath, that’s really amazing to hear! I am not done with any of my series yet, so there will be more books for each of them in the future. And yes, the were-tigers from the wiccan-were-bear series will be getting their own series as well, but I don’t know when that will be at this time. Thanks so much for stopping by! Best wishes to you, your wife, and your daughter – thank you for your support! All the best, RE

  12. This series started me on your e-books in Sept of 2012. I now have every one of your series and they just keep getting better and better. Every book I have read has been read repeatedly so PLEASE keep them coming. Your one of my top favorites.

  14. Just wondering when more series will be out in paperback. Have enjoyed your books very much.
    Lorrie

    1. Hi Lorrie, I’m slowly getting the books out on paperback. For now, only wilde creek and the first six wolf books are out on paperback. I hope to get a few more out on paperback this summer. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my books! All the best, RE

    1. Dianna, hopefully before the end of July, if all goes well with editing. 🙂

  15. I’m sooooo excited!! I’ve been waiting since I first read A Curve of Claw for Brone’s story. He only said those 2 words…”I. Need”…and I was head over heels. Sigh!! I even remember asking for him to have his story in a very early Q&A.

    1. Hi Caroline! I really dig Brone after writing his story, I hope you enjoy it. He really captured my interest in the first book as well, one of those characters that just demanded a story of their own. 🙂

  16. Hi, love your books ready for the installment of wiccan books but is there another book possible return home for Daeton ?

    1. Thanks so much, Eleanor! Yes, Daeton will definitely be getting another story. There will be a teaser for it at the end of Brone’s book, and her story will be #9 in the series and hopefully out early next year. Best, RE

  17. Love your series! My sister and I were excited to see Wiccan-Were-Bear 8, but we can’t find it on Kobo. Is it only available on Kindle?

    1. Hi Jolene! I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but yes – Wiccan Were-Bear #8 is only available on Amazon. It will be up on other sites at the end of October, though. So sorry for the inconvenience! Best, RE

  18. A twitch of tail isn’t on barnesandnoble.com I triple checked. I bought all of the other books except book six because it isn’t available. Is there any way to resend it to ghana so its available to buy

    1. To to bn sorry or make it available on barnesandnoble readers. It makes it difficult to complete a series without a book, especially when you love the books.

    2. Hi Alyssa! Twitch will be up on B&N and other sites in a few weeks. It is only on amazon until early December and then I will be able to get it up on the other sites. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, but it won’t be too much longer and it will be back up everywhere. Thanks for your patience! All the best, RE

    3. RE, still looking for Twitch nothing as of yet looking forward hopefully reading this book and many others. When will Mishka have his happily ever after?

    4. Hi Alyssa, sorry, Twitch is amazon-only for a little while longer. I will reply to you again when it is live other places, sorry for the confusion!! Mishka will get his own book, but probably not this year unless the muses are very kind to me! 🙂

  19. Just finished A Slash of Savagery and I loved it =D After meeting the family it has me curious of if you might make a spin-off series for those in the family along with Arissa’s guards or if you will revisit these characters in the wiccan-were-bear series. Looking forward to checking back in with Daeton =D

    1. Hi Peggy! Yes, I absolutely will be making a spin-off of the vampire family and the guards. I loved the characters so much, I can’t wait to write about them, but probably not for at least a year. I will be writing the remaining books in the wiccan series first before I write any spin-offs. I’m very excited about Daeton’s book as well, I hope it will be out in the spring. 🙂

  20. Just finished brones book and it was freaki g awesome I loved every minute of it. There was not a point of the book I didn’t like and because of that its my favorite out of the series. So question will you do a book on mishika because he deserves to find his beloved:)

    1. Valerie, I’m so glad you enjoyed Brone’s book!! Yes, Mishka will be getting his own story. I am not sure when, and most likely not this year, but he is on the to-write list and definitely deserves his own happily-ever-after!!

    2. Valerie, I do plan to get Mishka and Tosh’s story written for next year, I really want his story told – poor guy has been waiting hundreds of years for a mate! 🙂

  21. Your books never cease to totally entertain and then as soon as we’ve finished your newest release we (your loyal readers) agonize over when the next books will be released. Between this series and the Wiccan-Wear-Bear series, I find mysef checking daily on “coming soon” tabs in various e-book sites just to be sure I miss nothing. Thank you again for hours of enjoyment. I am one of the lucky people who love to re-read my e-books and never get tired of starting the series over and over again.

    1. Hi Linda! I’m really looking forward to Mishka’s book as well as Daeton’s! Thank you so much for stopping by! Best, RE

  22. I just got done reading Brone’s book again, love, love love, these books. I saw earlier in your reply about writing Tosh’s book, by chance would you possibly be doing a book with Sang and his dad, Dae? The Dragons are just cool. Looking forward to Mishka’s book too. Thanks for this series, well all your series.

    1. Hi Thea! I first want to wrap up the original wiccan-were-bear series, so Mishka, Tosh, Elizabeth’s twin sons, and Daeton (her 2nd story) – will all be written first. THEN, I’ll be moving on to spin-off series for the various groups. I love the vampires and I also love the dragons, too – so I don’t know who will get the first series but I can’t wait to finish the originals! Thanks for stopping by, I’m so glad to hear from you! Hugs, RE

  23. Hi! I just bought Awaken a Wolf through my Nook and really enjoyed it. So, I checked out some of the other blurbs and just bought 5 more books in the Wiccan-Werebear series. Thanks for writing such an interesting series. I love discovering new authors. It’s hard to find paranormal novellas with interesting characters and plots so I’m glad I took a chance on Awaken a Wolf. 🙂

    1. Hi Michele! I’m so glad that you discovered my books and enjoyed Awaken a Wolf! I really appreciate your sweet compliments and I’m thrilled to hear that you’r enjoying the other books in the wiccan-were-bear series! Thank you so much for reaching out. Happy Reading! Best, RE

I have a new book coming out tomorrow (June 20th), book four in the Hyena Heat Series, just in case you don’t sign up in time for the new blog post. Happy Reading! Best, RE

    1. Hi Stacey! I don’t have one yet, but it’s on my to-do list. In the time being, each series has it’s own page on the website under “Books”, which lists them in order in the series. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  24. Will any of your Wiccan-Were-Bear stories be released as audio books? I check all the time on Audible, but so far nothing.

    1. Hi Pamela! At this time, I don’t have plans to release the wiccan-were-bear books in audio. Thanks so much for stopping by! All the best, RE

  25. When will we see angie’s story?? & the fallen angles…… ur killing me with anticipation! LUV this series!!!

    1. Hi Heather! I love the series, too! First, I’m finishing up the original series in 2016 – Tosh, Mishka, and the twins (Setimika & Bodaway) – and then I will be starting a new series for the vampires, which will include Angie’s story. I’m not sure where the angels will fit into things, either through the vampires’ new series or maybe through another one – but I do like the characters a lot and can’t wait to visit with them again! Thanks for stopping by! All the best, RE

    2. Hi Heather! I’m very excited about the future stories, too! But first I want to finish up the wiccan-were-bear series. There are three more stories to go – Tosh, Mishka, and Elizabeth’s twins – and then I’ll be able to work on the vampire series. Mishka’s book will lead into it, and then Angie and Alli, and we’ll see what else happens with the rest of the series! My plan is to finish up the wiccan series this year. I’m already working on Tosh’s book! Thanks so much for stopping by! All the best, RE

    1. Hi Jen! I’m so happy you’ve enjoyed the Wiccan series! Yes, I will be doing another volume for the stories, most likely after the final book is done to close out the series. Still to come – Tosh, Mishka, and Elizabeth’s twin sons – and then I’ll be ready for another big book of them! 🙂

    1. Thank you very much, Frankie! I’m working on the 11th story for the WWB series now, Tosh’s book. 🙂 All the best, RE

    1. Hi Nicole. That name doesn’t ring a bell to me. What book is she in? Sometimes the secondary characters get lost in the shuffle, but she doesn’t sound familiar to me. The books in this series that are still to be written are Tosh, Mishka, and Elizabeth’s twin sons.

  26. Just wanted to say that I love the WWB series out of all (#1) and then Wilde Creek (#2) for me you could just keep writing about Elizabeth and the twines, Daeton and maybe throw in another story about the parents oh Mishka waiting and the dragon Tosh and his son , but since I am not your only fan just keep doing what you do we love the journey that you take us on …. Good Reading

    1. Thank you for your kind words, Eleanor! I also love the WWB series. After Tosh, Mishka will get his story, and then Elizabeth’s twin sons will as well. I do plan to close the series at that point, but I never say never when it comes to the muse so who knows what the future may bring. Thank you so much for stopping by to share you thoughts! All the best, RE

  27. I love the wiccan-were-bear series. When will the one on mishka come out?I’m dying to read that one 🙂 you do an camazing job!

    1. Hi Crystal! Mishka’s book will be #12, and I hope to have it out this year but I’m not sure when yet! Thank you! RE

    1. Thanks, Alice! Yes, Angie will be getting a story, but hers will come after the wiccan series is finished, and will be part of a spin-off series based on the vampire coven. I hope to have the first few books out in 2017. 🙂

  28. I love the Wiccan – were – bear series and I can’t wait for Mishka’s book, is there going to be a book for the tiger king Midas?

    1. Hi Margie! I would love to write a series for the tigers and let Midas have his HEA. First, I want to finish up the original series, and then I’ll be spinning-off the vampires into their own series. Hopefully the tigers will see their own books in the future too! 🙂

  29. I was wondering if angle from awaken a wolf will get her own story. You hinted about her dreaming of vampires and wanted to know if it would lead anywhere.

    1. Hi Emily! Yes, I do plan for Angie to get a story of her own, but she will be included in a planned spin-off series for the vampire coven. Once I’m done with the original series, hopefully this year, then I will begin work on the vampires. Thanks for stopping by!

  30. R.E. what about the fallen angel who is friends with December, if I am correct she has been mentioned before and to my knowledge doesn’t have a mate. Everyone deserves love, don’t they?

    1. I sure do agree with you Alyssa! I plan to include Alli the fallen angel in another spin-off series in the future. Thanks for stopping by!

  31. Hi just finished A Dragon for December could not put It down till the end and can not wait for A Muse for Mishka and A Wish for their Woman. But will Midas the Tiger King be getting a story or Allisandrea the Fallen Angel will she get a happy ever after too and it would be nice to find someone for Jun she sounds so sweet and has been through so much. But I understand the stories come as you get inspired so will wait with bated breath for and future stories in this and your other series all such addictive and all consuming stories thank you for some of the best hours I’ve ever spent lost in a book.

    1. Hi Sam! Thank you so much for your sweet words! I’m thrilled you enjoyed Tosh & Deci’s story! It’s my intention to write a spin-off series for the vampire coven (once I’m all finished with the original series), and Alli will be part of that series. The tigers should get their own series as well, but I want to do the vampires first, so he will just be waiting a little while longer! And for Jun – I love her character too, but I’m not sure if she’ll appear anywhere else or not. All the best, RE

    1. In the wiccan series, probably not until late fall. I’m busy with other series projects at the moment. Thanks for stopping by!

  32. I just read what you said about Teck and Shy’s book being the final one for Wiccan-Were-Bear series but I also agree with the question above about Midas the Tiger King, why doesn’t he get his mate story? Maybe with Alli?? I love these stories and am saddened to see them end.

    1. Hello! Yes there are two more books in the original wiccan series – Mishka, and the twins. I will be doing a spin-off series in the future for the vampires, and I suspect that angel Alli will make an appearance in there. As far as Midas goes, it’s always been my plan to write a series for the tigers, with his being the first. I’m not sure when that will happen, but part of the reason I’m closing out the original series is so I can move on to other things. While I’m excited, I’m also sad to be finishing up the series, too. 🙂

    2. oh wow, that’s awesome, has been a busy summer here with a grandson, he finally got back in school so I’m just now checking in. Can’t wait for the Vampire coven and angel Alli, also for the tiger series when you get around to it. 🙂

    3. Thank you! It encourages me to hear that there are books that readers are looking forward to – keeps me at the computer! It’s a wonderful thing when the house is quiet once the kids are back in school! 🙂 All the best, RE

  33. Are we going to learn more about Mishkas coven it would be nice to know some of mates Arissa was helping protect

    1. Hi Alyssa! Yes, Mishka’s book is the next one coming out in the WWB series. It will be out in early October and I’m really excited about it! I have plans to write a spin-off series based on the vampire coven in the future, too!

    1. Hi Joyce! The main series – Wiccan-Were-Bear – is for jilted lovers *and a few others!* from A Curve of Claw. Midas, although prominent in book 6 – was never one of Elizabeth’s suitors. I do hope to write a spin-off series for the tiger pride in the future though. 🙂

  34. Will Rysk and Tyrrant be getting their own story/stories? I just recently found this series and absolutely love it!! I hop it keeps going a little longer.

    1. Hi Abigail! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series! There are two more books coming in the series and then it will end. I am planning spin-off series for many of the other groups, and I would love to visit with the bear den again, since Rysk and Tyrant are living there now. 🙂

  35. Just finished Mishka’s story awsome as always. Can’t wait to read a hea for Vex & his brother I just love those two. Hope we don’t have to wait to long!

    1. Thank you Laura! I’m so glad you enjoyed Mishka’s book! I do have plans for a spin-off series for the vampire coven, and I’d love to get it going next year some time. Vex & Rage are definitely hopeful for their HEA! Hugs, RE

  36. R. E. – I have tried to read through all your replies so i do not ask duplicate questions. Please forgive me if this has already been answered. I know you are planning on writing some spin offs (vampire and others). I know writing is just when inspiration strikes – so if you do not know yet that is fine. I was just wondering when the spins off stories might start accruing. I recently came across this series and have fallen in love with the vampire cover and the fallen angels. I didn’t know if you had a set time line yet or haven’t begun planning for these.

    1. Hi Amber! I’m always happy to hear when readers are excited about characters, it definitely inspires me! I haven’t set up a time frame yet for the vampire spin-off series. I first need to finish up the WWB series with the twins’ story, and I also want to close out my hyena series before I start anything new. So while I hope to have a story for the vampires out at some point in 2017, I’m not sure if that will happen or if 2018 is more likely. RE

  37. I truly enjoy all your books but the Wiccan were bear is my favorite. Is there going to be a book about Midas.

    1. Hi Joyce! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the wiccan-were-bear series! The last story in the series will be Elizabeth’s twin sons, Teck & Shy. It should be out this summer. I would like to write a series about the tigers, including Midas, but I’m not sure when that will happen. It’s on my to-write, though, just not within the actualy WWB series. Thanks for stopping by! RE

  38. I really like your books i have read them all so far. After Teck and Shy book I was hoping for a book with Angie and her two vamps (which I am sure are Rage and Vex). I am also glad you are doing a series with Midas because he needs some one too. Also I think Allie the fallen angel could use a book. I just like to see happy endings.

    1. Hi Ree! You and my muse are on the same page for sure! I am definitely starting a series with the vampires, which will kick off with wolf shifter Angie (and you’re right on the heroes!). I love to see happy endings, too! 🙂

  39. I love this series I am patiently waiting for book 13 it took not even 2 weeks to read all of them lol. I love the way all intertwine with all the paranormal groups in one city but the stories are all different and you are just eager to get to the next page. All the characters are lovable in their own way and you feel like they’re actually real with how you write about situations and feelings. I can’y wait to read any spin off series, there are quite a few ways in which you could that too, keep writing and I’ll keep reading :o)

    1. Hi Suzanne! I’m so happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the WWB series! The final book will be out July 2, and I’m so excited about it! Thank you for your sweet compliments and kind words, I really appreciate them. I am definitely planning to do a spin off series, at least one if not more, in the future. The possibilities are endless. 🙂

  40. I love this series! Is Midas going to get his own book soon? I want him to get his HEA! Also I can’t wait for Adam’s sister and her two vampires! I just love them all! I can’t wait!

    1. Hi Josie! I am definitely doing a spin-off series for the vampire coven, and I do hope to have a series for the tiger pride as well, it will just take time to get things all sorted out. I really love Midas, and I’m looking forward to Angie’s story in the vampire series too! 😉

  41. I am part way though WWB13 (had to go back and read again) and am sad to see the series end. I would have like to see Prince J find someone as well as Rysk and Tyrant. But I love the other series as well. Thanks for writing

    1. I may do a story for Rysk and Tyrant in the future, I’m really not certain at this point. I like their characters a lot, so who knows what the future might bring! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!

  42. I’ve read all 13 books of this series LOVE IT!!!! Wish the series wouldn’t end the’re so me mates theat need a book like Angie, Rage and Vex but I do understand just wish there be more soon

    1. Hi Gretchen! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the series! I am planning to do a spin-off (hopefully starting next year) with the vampire coven, which would include Angie and the twin vampires. 🙂

  43. I’ve just read all of your wiccan-wear-bear books and I loved them. I’m also glad to see you are making a vampire series and Midas gets his own book. I will know I will enjoy them as much as I did the rest of your books.

    1. Thank you MaryBeth! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the series and are looking forward to more!!

  44. Ok whew. I was freaking out about Rage and Vex!!! And Midas, and Calle. Oh gosh I could go forever. I truly enjoyed the vampire storyline and am so glad to hear you plan to continue. ?

    1. Glad I could alleviate your fears, Vanessa! 🙂 I’m really looking forward to the vampires, too, they’re a lot of fun to write!

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed the series, Ashley! I’m planning a series for the vampires, which will kick off with Angie, Rage, and Vex’s story! Hopefully the first book will be out next year!

  45. Ok i am behind on this series. I have been re reading them and finally on book 11. What do you recommend i read next? Are there other series that connect to this series?

    1. Hi Crystal! I’m glad you’re getting caught up with the WWB series! At the moment, there aren’t any series associated with this one. I am, however, working on a vampire coven spin-off which will be out later this year! In the meantime, if you love menage and shifters, you can try my Hyena Heat or Ashland Pride series. And if you love unique shifters, try out my Were Zoo series which has gorillas and elephants! You can find all my series detailed under the “books” tab of my website. 🙂
